I can actually relate to Miyake since I worked in a very toxic environment too. But I was promoted/transferred to a position in a rural area in my country (an island to much like where they are in the manga). It's like time here moves so slowly compared to the city. It's fun but hearing that your friends get married, have kids, get really good job positions is so unnerving. But yeah. If I were to choose between my job now and the job I had before I'd choose the former.
