Very, VERY rarely do I find myself liking the second couple, in like maybe 5% of the manga I read. I'd rather it just get back to the main couple. Give them a spin off if they're that important.
oh that actually I would like it if the second couple has great chemistry. One example is prince bari, Im like dying to see the second couple finally get together after a thousand years of misunderstanding. I also like Never Understand manhwa.
Sometimes u want the main couple, but other times, u really ship the side couples that really have good story going btwn them. and u get sad when there is no spin off for them yet
This is me in both manga and bl shows. Second couple rarely, if ever, interests me. They feel like some sort of boring plotline or filler until we can get to the next main couple scene. Or they feel too contrived, like since the main characters got together, their friends/brothers/senpais/teachers got to get together too. Like...why? That's why I avoid stories with multiple couple throughout or with everybody turns gay plotlines(even with Love Mode I only watch for Naoki and his seme)
If there is no chemistry or it happens outta nowhere then I hate it a lot.
For eg. I hated one of the side couple in "never understand". The couple which had the uke being a pathetic idiot who was fat once but then joined archery and the seme who was a blondie popular bitch.
