ppl calling Haemi a bimbo is pretty hilarious. Girl is in med school and smart af. Based on her previous life, she has the knowledge and skill to become the best of the best both back then and now.
I don't understand why ppl have something against her. She's always looking out for the MC, is kind, funny and strong. I'm probably one of the few who actually ship her with the MC!

yeah, she's a legitimately well written character with depth and intelligence. she's not some clueless female lead that's just there for eye candy.
I can't say for sure, but I think the hate comes from the fact that the ex-wife was there for jihyun at his lowest point and still loved him (even when she left him) so readers are drawn to her loyalty and feel that she deserves a second chance at happiness with him. Haemi on the other hand didn't experience those struggles and has only seen jihyun at his best, so it's easier to for her to like him and so I think the shippers feel haemi's love for him is frivolous.

I don't think it was ever clearly stated who left who (unless someone can state otherwise) but chapter 47 seems to show that there's was mutual agreement for their separation.
