I mean, maybe it's obvious, but anyway, pretty clearly the Emperor has been tampered with magically, to cause him headaches whenever Athy is near, but for the headaches to go away whenever Jenny is. Someone's trying to manipulate the emperor into feeling affection for Jenny, like a Pavlovian effect where he'll associate Jenny with peace. Whoever did that disgusts me to my CORE, how DARE they!
