It's interesting how the destruction of the Langue Clan is similar to how some countries were colonized by the more powerful. Likewise with how they utilized the 'divide and conquer' plan (using their fellow clansmen/ tribesmen to demolish their own kind in fear of their own safety or in eagerness to get rewards) and also exploited some of the clan's most precious resources (sorry lack for a better word for 'jewel hearts') were used to conquer their territory and destroy their people.
On a bleaker note, it's absolutely disgusting how this is still happening right now but in more insidious and subtler methods.
