Most yaoi/ BL go the route of straight men falling for each other by convenience and won’t label them gay or bisexual. Or even if there’s already established gay/bi character their love “straight” love interest makes an exception for them. In the case of this story we don’t get clearly told the sexual orientation of the characters however I’d guess this maybe a cause of “straight” falling in love because Minjae has attempted to have sexual interactions with other males besides Taehwa and had not enjoyed it. Taehwa had never considered a male partner before Minjae and that was only out of curiosity initially. They could very well identify as bisexual or closeted gay men,it rather that history has proven itself that most authors fetishize the “straight” /“straight” romance dynamics. Then again this isn’t something new was its seen from FanFiction to actual irl gay porn. It’s a fantasy afterall.
