I think the only way to solve this mess is for Hara to show Kaoru that even w/o Kaoru’s help, even with the forces of the red string pulling him toward that woman, if he won’t develope feelings for her but for Kaoru only, then someday the string will be cut on its own. Otherwise Kaoru will never ever touch his hand on the string of his lover T.T
