This is nowhere close to being similar.
1. As of right now there's no underlying theme of abuse that was important to the relationship between sangwoo and yoonbum
Honestly how sangwoo treated yoonbum was insane and extremely abusive
He literally broke his legs, forced him to wear female clothing, cut his neck, coerced him into killing other people, and etc
All our Lord has done to painter is force him to paint, blackmail him using sir inhun, and Jack him off (And honestly in terms of yaoi this isn't that bad
I would like to argue that yes Lord is manipulative but I feel like saying he's abusive is going a bit too far
this is a historical period where the painter is expected to follow the nobles orders regardless of what he himself wants bc he's a lowborn
Actually Lord is seen to be treating painter much nicer than others, not giving him the punishment for the painting and even insisting he be treated after he woke up and checking to see if he had healed (which surprised jihwa a lot implying that this isn't very common for the Lord)
We can also see that painter is being fed really well by the Lord when the servants are pigging out on his food
2. Lord has killed people and is crazy but to say he's on the same level as sangwoo is just insane, sangwoo was a serial killer, he killed and tortured people because he wanted to
Lord doesn't go out on killing sprees, he kills people when they go against him, when they make a mistake, and to threaten others (like he did with painter when they first met)
He doesn't find pleasure in their deaths he uses it as a punishment or a means to an end
3. Painter is not desperately in love with the Lord. Yoonbum was obsessed with sangwoo. I feel like a lot of people who read KS forget how messed up yoonbum already was before getting captured by sangwoo. I mean the beginning of the story is literally him breaking into sangwoo's house and jerking off in his bed. Like yoonbum didn't fall in love with sangwoo throughout the story. He was already in love. Whereas painter guy loves a whole different dude (sir inhun) than the Lord. Actually he hates himself for loving sir inhun and wanting to do dirty things. This is very unlike yoonbum who (yes still hates himself) but wanted to get fucked by sangwoo like so badly.

Honestly the only similarity I can see is that 1. Omg seme is crazy 2. Painter and yoonbum have similar hair and tiny bodies
That's literally it
The characters are almost completely different
The relationship between the characters is completely different
And the plotline is completely different
Stop comparing them they are two different stories

I couldn’t agree with you more

Nice! It completes in many levels my preview post about this topic.
It's been a long time since I've read KS, so there were details I forgot, you added them.
It's true that both Uke are tiny, but here also I'd like to say there are differences between the both. Despite being smaller than Seme-San, Nakyum is in good shape and looks very healthy, his lips are pink, his butt are plump, his skin is glowing... For him to be well nourrished by the Master.

Poor Bum is tiny, but looks rather skinny like starved, and I don't think that's only because of the artstyle of Author-Nim that the poor boy looks so pale, unhealthy...
This is a result of his treatment and humiliation by the serial killer, and also a mirror of his mental state. He's so skinny, it was painful to see him being hurt by a much taller Seme, stronger in every sense.
There is limits to self-pity, self-torturing, so couldn't continue the reading...
