Huh? Most people ik hold it that way. Just depends on what you’re eating sometimes
Nuh uh not that close if you wanna talk about how to properly hold chopsticks that is definitely not where you should be holding them
They are typically held close to the middle but towards the back of the chopsticks not in front
If you hold the chopsticks close to the front there may be more power in your grip but its easy to drop whatever youre picking up and control the use of the chopsticks overall
But if you hold it too far back the grip is too weak however the balance of the chopsticks is more comfortable and easier to use thats why most ppl hold it around the middle
Besides the grip being completely wrong it doesnt even make sense
There is a “textbook” way of holding chopsticks but over the years ppl stopped paying attention to it and hold it however they like like with pencils but even if its not the “correct” way to hold chopsticks it still works and makes some kind of sense
But the way it was drawn makes absolutely no sense unless the chopsticks were glued to his fingers and use to stab his food instead of picking it up but i do admit its very hard to draw in the first place so i dont hold it against the artist ive seen worse
