I must say Anton's selfishness and Arwin being greedy leads them to this ending but I like how the story goes. Arwin's felt responsible and guilty for what happened and the fact that he love Anton lead him into that situation of imprisoning himself to an invisible cage, the feeling of them both being anxious makes the story seems uncertain whether it is a good or bad ending but the fact that they stayed together over this circumstances proves how much they love each other and that is the most important thing and the best.
Anton's getting married to someone else makes it more complicated, he's so stupid of making decision just like her mother and he is gone crazy to come up with a decision to hide his lover inside his house.
