I don't disagree, but I thought that the whole point of that story was that the uke had been watching Morino for a long time at a distance and kind of developed a crush without realizing it. And the fact that he was watching Morino is what made Morino start watching him.

God I don’t even remember the story or why I felt the way I did. I prob should have checked before responding but I’m tired. Maybe tomorrow
….it bothers that the uke goes from being madly in love with his friend to being in love with Makino. Love doesn’t work that way. I see the mangaka tried to show why he might fall in love with Makino by showing Makino being attentive and kind but if he was really in love with his friend he would have ended up with the friend. If the mangaka has written in a scene where the uke realized he really just had a crush on his friend and it wasn’t actually love, then him falling for Makino would seem more feasible.
