Why did they have to change perfectly good Korean names to more typical western names?

Why they dp dumb shit like that I'll never kno

Cuz native english speakers find it hard to pronounce/remember asian names.. I mean, it may be hard at first but once you got used to it, it's easy.. I have no idea why they feel the need to accommodate to english speakers -_-
