I think most people hate him because of 1)how he treated tia in the past (which was pretty damn terrible), 2)someone who read the novel revealed that in the end, she gets married to him but he still treats her badly and 3)they're just tired of seeing female leads suffering at the expense of male leads' character development.
Yeah, but totally agree with what you said about why his character has turned out like this so far (at this point in the webtoon - as a kid/teen). It would be nice to see him change and stop being so demanding and inconsiderate of others' feelings. At the same time, knowing the reason behind his actions doesn't excuse what he does, hence the hate towards him - just because you come from a particular background doesn't totally excuse you from doing shitty things. Personally, if I had to choose between the male leads, I would rather the other 2 over the prince, because even though they are pretty dubious and pushy as well, they at least show more consideration towards Tia and care more for her, though personally I would rather her not be involved in any marriage/politics and just live happily with her dad. Anyway, most of the rage comes from the fact that in the end, the prince does end up with Tia, and he does continue to treat her poorly so ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
Yeah...but those shallow opinions of the anti-prince fan 'who get the spoiler from the novel' just kind of ruin the joy of reading the series. Most of them hate him because they know how the stories of the novel end up even though the manhwa itself haven't finished yet. You know, there were a lot of author out there who like making different ending version of their work.
but yeah... agree with you. Sometimes after those ruckus about who is the best man for Tia, I would rather hope she live peacefully with her dad rather than marrying any man...just like Ria and Caitel from the other series... pfftt... (▰˘◡˘▰)

I don't get it why so many of you really hate the prince. I always think that he could actually change become better person. That's what you called character building. If there's no change of his characterization in the series, then why the purpose of the author making this good damn manhwa. Also, I think you should try to understand more about his character and the reason why he's acting those ways. The answer is simple. Because he's the prince. He is someone that hold power since he's small and no matter bad and selfish things he done, nobody could blame him. That's why the author want the female lead to change him.. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
