My husband and I have a similar gender dynamic in that we don't conform to gender 'norms.' I am very masculine, but I look more female (until you get to know me and nobody would ever call me girly.) I wasn't raised with gender binaries. ..I have always been more masculine than feminine and my husband is comfortable with his own self not always being overly masculine, but gentler and softer than most so-called 'straight men' can be considered when talking about gender 'norms. We often laugh about it and we were delighted to discover that our journey and relationship quite often mirrored theirs. It was a real trip. We ended up reading this together and loved everything about it.
