I remember I watched all the way up until ep 13 was released and couldn’t wait for 14 so I read the manga and now j can’t finish the anime because the manga just...
anyways enjoy the last episode, I don’t onow how far the anime goes in terms of the manga, I hope the animate the chapter when it shows how all the characters have grown up and everything

The anime is on episode 23 and it ends when golzine is being shot.
I'm so sad by the end it was so unfullfilling and it made me sad for WEEKS. Poor ash, he didn't deserve this fate, I wanted him to use that ticket and go to Japan with Eiji... But I don't think the anime will change the end. But I guess the author knew what he was doing. When a book has a bad ending it's easily... Remembered
I also wish they show their past too.

it was a bad ending that made me feel so empty after reading it, but it made sense you know? as hard as it is to say, Ash and Eiji were never meant to be, Ash and Eiji came from different worlds and when Ash tried to leave...even tho it made sense why couldn’t Ash and Eiji have a happy ending i’m in tears again T_T I wish ash could have gone to the hospital or smth or they let eiji stay with him a minute longer. perhaps if they did animate Ash’s last moments it would be too sad for viewers T^T

You are right, they were never meant to be together, Ash knew deep inside he would die, the only good thing that happened to him was Eiji. He died happily reading his letter.
I am in so much pain though by thinking what Eiji s reaction would be when later he would learn about ash s (real now) death.

And at the end, before he died, Ash didn't go to the hospital. He chose to die in the library, reading Eiji s letter. He chose his death coz he was sure there wouldn't be such beautiful moment in his life later.
But... Poor Eiji... He said he was sure that they would meet again... Now they will meet in heaven.
