literally why i find this woe is me sob backstory are pointless in BL, but its a rampant excuse for sexual and physical violence as well as emotional abuse at this point. A person's past doesn't have to define them, it can give context to their demeanor and actions, but it does not erase their responsibility to their actions and words. It's irritating that with the introduction of Jiwon's past many take his horrible actions towards towards DG as excusable. Jiwon is not a child but he's nohing but act as one the entire time going from one extreme to the next, never facing the consequences. I know Jiwon deserves to find love, but definitely not with the person he's harmed to such an extent and will be essentially rewarded despite it all with a simple apology. He's learned virtually nothing had this been real, the pain of losing the person he's wronged would be a realistic approach, but fiction and angered fujoshi would never allow it.
I still think Alex is a douche. Yes I get his tragic backstory and it definitely gives his cold-heartedness some depth but... are we seriously going to do ignore how much of a shitty person he was to DG?
Don't get me wrong. I WANT THEM TO END UP TOGETHER. But I want Alex to REALLY PROVE HIMSELF to DG (and to me).
I hope DG will be a bit more defensive with Alex but idk ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
