This is one of those Yaoi manga where everyone is actually a huge dick in their own way, so much that you end up sort of hating everyone for doing this and that. All three of them have huge flaws that ended up destroying their lives since they were young. If they were all honest to begin with, none of them would have had to suffer for so long.
However, I understand where they are all coming from and appreciate them. It’s a love-hate relationship with this story, because it’s so frustrating but at the same so realistic. It touches on how fragile some relationships can come to be and break apart.
One huge critique is Chika marrying that woman. That was definitely the worst part of this story. It made absolutely no sense for someone like Chika who never wanted to be like his brother to end up having to be the only one who suffers in the end, just because he had no escape after losing Hotaka. If he had more time, he would have definitely ended up in a better place. The marriage was just so sudden and that woman took advantage of him when he was weakest. Good for that woman if Chika ends up loving her in the end but if he had the choice, he would’ve NEVER done that.
