Hmm... not sure I understand it either. I really didn't like how Genma raped and forced Himi repeatedly in the beginning. I'm just glad that the second Himi never experienced or remembered that painful beginning.
Exactly why I don't like them. I'm not surprised about them not being hated, but I am surprised they are the most popular couple.
I think it has more to do with this being an old manga. In that period rape trope was at its peak (lol xD i mean its still popular, but not as it used to be), so even if you change your taste you still end up preferring your old faves from those old mangas. at least thats for me
I will never understand why Gemna and Himi are so popular lol.
