i'm not sure but i think the hoodie dude was that guy from when they were young. the one the bitch threw a book at. yeah and the reason he wore the hoodie is because he wanted to hide this fact.
It's his young love, and he wanted to see him again and got the courage (after seeing him on TV, he knew where he was). When he says at the end he would be back without the GauGau hood, it was basically telling us he'd be back as HIMSELF, and then they can be together. There's nothing in the way now.
