so glad i opened this to read, sometimes i skip some covers. this is one of my favorite authors and I love that this scan group always releases the full story at once because this author is full of angst and i can't read chapter to chapter. thank you anonymous!!! i liked this series but wish both couples had more chapters, of course the first had quite a bit but it'd be nice if chief could open up more :) the second couple felt a little like a rushed like a short hand version of some of the author's other works so it'd be nice if they were more developed but it's fine. time to re-read some of the other series!

Agreed! I'm always confused why this author's works get ratings that are on the lower side. I really like how they don't feel like classic yaoi (●'◡'●)

the stories always touch my soul. i don't get the low ratings either!! it's too bad. the author really crafts stories around people you want to see happy and keep you emotionally invested

I love this authors works, they stick out and get me hooked. BUT, they have a tendency to make me feel unsatisfied at the end of the stories. Not all, of course, but most. Closure is really important to me most of the time.

YES. i forgot to mention that. i get so hooked and invested but the author ALWAYS skimps on closure. then i re-read in frustration but it's still the same. I've been re-reading some of the works but I had to stop because it was hurting my heart. Once they get close to a happy ending she leaves it hanging - I mean you kind of know they're together and happy but after so much angst you need a lot of closure to feel better about the process. the only one i can think of that had okay closure was the sea captain and the athlete - it showed them like 20 years later and happily retired together

Exactly! Which is kind of a shame since her works are such gems in the pile of BL! But she also does a lot of one shots, which always tends to end up underdeveloped... This one had a satisfying ending as well imo.
