Haha, yaoi will not help, lots of it is angsty or twisted or just plain depressing.
Sports help, always waking up at the same time, eating healthy. They sound like they won't help because people think depression is only psychological and they underestimate what taking proper care of their body will do. Sometimes it even helps them to feel good enough to make psychological changes and they get out of their depression completely.
So, really, if you want to feel better do those things. It's hard but do your best and you will see it will do you so much good.

Ofcourse you can't help depression by repressing your problems and distracting yourself with manga but if you want something to lift your spirits, i'd recommend Haikyuu or Little Witch Academia. If you strictly want yaoi, then there's my favorite yaoi series of all time, the light novel series "Yokozowa Takafumi No Baai" it is adorable and mature.

Thank you very much for the recommendation and i'll try reading it... it's fun to distract myself on reading manga or watching anime because it feels like i belong to something that i can act normal... (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Depression really sucks. I had it at a young age and still do now, but it's not as bad as before. IMO yaoi is one good coping mechanism lol. Even if it sounds rediculous. Another coping mechanism is to read & watch motivational/inspirational quotes/ videos online. It helps alleviate the emotional pain I'm going through :) Hope this helps you!~

ridiculous* spelled it wrong lol. But I hope one day you have a person to talk to about your depression. Don't just bottle up your emotion, cuz that's what I did when I was younger and my depression just became worse. Now, I feel much better knowing there's always someone there for me.

Thanks and that's what i do because of those things i learned how to make poems, quotes and stuff... ( ̄∇ ̄") i felt a bit of relief to you, i tried to talk to them that i have depression but they won't listen well some but they never help me... Life is cruel but people are much more cruel, it's hard to find someone who can understand me... it's better to hide it than making others worry but in reality i always wanted them to understand me but people only listen to what they want to listen... #Yaoiislife
