People from ALL walks of life have been taken in by monsters like this for CENTURIES. These victims are not automatically gullible OR kind. And these monsters are not psychopaths. They're just people doing what society has taught them to do. It's just the only time society has assigned a mental illness coded for something else to something that it has DELIBERATELY cultivated in order to keep the usually downtrodden from revolting.
