An anime cliché that annoys me would be the unneeded and unwanted rival love interest that gets introduced late in the season and has like little to non character development yet still poses as a threat to the main characters for like 5 episodes. They also tend to seem nice but are secretly horrible with selfish morals .
It does make me laugh though when a forgotten rival will make a reappearance later in the anime or manga. But the author gives them an edgy backstory and a personality. Then, Boom! They go from the least liked character to the angsty sad one that just needs a hug.

Well 'I'll become king of westland and you'll become my rival' inferior/superiority complex man they can't never work together sigh...As well ecchi and bl fanservice thats over exaggerated and yeah I hate tsunderes too.

I agree tsunderes are the worst thing anime brought to this world.

I kinda feel bad about this but I reals don’t like most female characters. It’s not that I hate them it’s just the way anime shows them bugs me, especially the super “cute” characters.
What is the anime cliche you hate most?
Mine is probably the extreme tsunderes. A little bit of “of course I don’t like them!” or “they’re so stupid!” Is ok and sometimes cute. I hate it though when they kick, punch or slap the person for no reason and the person still pursues them ヽ(`Д´)ノ
