Most people are saying that he was pretending,to me it's clear that he was suppressing his emotions (so he did in fact forget the bad experiences).There's nothing that is unclear in the story,it's just lacking..it didn't go from 0 to 100 but it did go from 0 to 20 then 50...it kept jumping steps (hope that makes sense).Basically there were not many details and details are what make a good story.I liked it,but this kind of plot needs more chapters to make you connect with the characters.I felt like I got glimpses of their story rather than the whole thing.
