It’s to get to know about the manga or manwha the user wrote about.....users wrote “follow up” so they notifications if the questions of the original poster gets answered.....if that makes sense (overall, its beacuse they are curious of the posters request)
because people are curious about/interested in the asker's described plot and they want to know the manga too. replying with "following" notifies them as well when op gets answers. personally I don't like replying with "following" and just open the ask in another tab and check it from time to time bc I don't want to give op false hope lol. but ofc I think it's ok unless op says don't reply "following".
