If lengths don't matter then, Gintama! My absolute favorite!
I also like the slice of life Barakamon.
Also I like the episodic Gugure! Kokkuri-San.
ummmm
I'm sure there's more. I like Osomatsu-san too, it has the same director as Gintama. But the latest season is kinda meh in my opinion lol.
Oh no! I have underestimated your anime veteran status, my apologies. lolll
I stopped watching anime around the time you started, and just got back into it like... last year... so this list is non-comprehensive and doesn't really include any of the ones i've watched before, but i hope there's at least one that you find you haven't seen yet lol
Kemono no Souja Erin (2009) - Epic fantasy; animation is,,, not good,,, and it's kind of slow to pick up, but it's 50 episodes long and is an amazing coming-of-age story. Bonus: no romance, and the MC is female.
Joker Game (2016) - Set just before WWII in Japan, it's a story about young men who have trained to be spies. The animation is good, and the plot is less of an intricate story but more of an ongoing timeline with each young man featured in an episode.
Monster (2004) - ...i have the feeling you've seen it already, but might as well lol
Some movies, if you want them:
Shisha no Teikoku (2015) - Takes classical English literary characters and sets them into an adventure about souls, death, and accepting the consequences of actions. It's 2 hours of confusion and pain.
Saint Young Men (2013) - Buddha and Jesus, but they're roommates. Lol (it has a long-ass manga too, if you want to read it)
Tokyo Godfathers (2003) - A story about how three homeless people find an abandoned baby in the middle of winter. It's a funny, bittersweet, and lovable story of accepting oneself and surviving the world.
oooo lots of that i haven't watched yet,, I've only watched joker game (it was really good) I personally don't have anything against old anime but the graphics/ visual quality of them turns me off so i typically don't watch them unless the storyline is good = not cliche ( i'll watch them since you recommended lel) thanks! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
i actually have more! haha
Natsume Yuujinchou (ongoing) - it's a series that's soft. it depicts growth and maturity through time, too lol it's good
Poco's Udon World (2016) - if you want something airy but heartwrenching at the same time, this is a good series to watch! It's the story of a tanuki/child thing and a man who comes home from the city mhmmmm break my heart yo
Blood - this is a series of stories, all of them interconnected, about a girl who has the power to save the world, and her sister, who has the power to destroy it. (lol that's how i describe this series to anyone who would listen)
Tsukiuta: The Animation (2016) - Another one-character-per-episode anime that is all about music, growth, friendship, and finding your own direction in life. It doesn't have a plot, but if you want something to watch in-between episodes of monster, this is a great way to wash off the palate.
ERASED (2016) - i think it's always good to have this in any recommendation lists lol
(i'm going to look for my recs list lol)
I need good animes to watch. Please note that I have been watching anime for 4/5~ years and am very picky and harsh on what considers “good” anime. I pretty much watch all genres so fire away. Tyyy~~ ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭(^ω^)
