JUST CURIOUS

Mark Lorenz December 23, 2017 11:50 pm

I'm just curious. In this community which population is larger? The Fujoshi's or Fudanshi's like me?..

fudanshi are rare, comparatively. I'm always on the lookout, but most who claim it on this site are actually female, sadly.

Fudanshi isn't rare, they just don't appear that often. Fujoshi usually make all the ruckus

we are a minority in a site that hosts ungodly amounts of fictional gay porn LOL

But I'm pretty sure there must be plenty of guys pretending to be young girls (for a variety of not always wholesome reasons)

    Mark Lorenz December 24, 2017 4:14 am

yeah maybe other fudanshi's are just hidden

Well I'm fundashi as well and I've has the fortune to find an online fudanshi's comunity in my country and I can tell that they are more the shy/discreet type so I can feel at ease among them unlike fujoshis they're like all hyped and fussed in what respect to Yaoi/gay stuffs to the point or to be creepy at least the ones that I've met and have as classmates are like that so I prefer to keep away and safe from them and don't let them know about me being fudanshi. Sorry I know that not all the fujoshis are the same and is wrong to just tag people but I guess that I have the misfortune to met the craziest ones

Indeed I am lucky, and even some of them that live in the same city have meetings to go to anime conventions, but unfortunately I live far away, but I'd like to meet them someday after graduate from university and tell my parents about my preferences because they're a little too homophobics and I can't help the idea of them stopping to support on my studdies ir i tell them so I'll keep the secret meanwhile

we have the same situation, my parents are religious people who were against me being gay, but in my case I'm dropping hints and clues about them and I'm sure that they already know that I am gay.. but I still have not officially came out to them and hopefully they'll fully accept us for who we are :) Well goodluck on your studies

Eijin that's really something special. I feel like I get wrapped in the "online world" for a few hours and as soon as I put the manga down I forget all about it until I pick it up again. I've hardly met a few people who watch anime, I can't imagine how exciting it would be to share this very particular hobby with "real" people. It's just a fun, silly thing this yaoi stuff, but it does kinda say a lot about who we are.

About the closet situation, you've heard it all before; just stay safe. Best wishes from an old otaku weirdo!

I'm somewhat jealous. I have met VERY few who share my hobbies, so I'm very quiet about it in real life. I'm openly gay, but closet fudanshi lol. It's not seen in a very good light, and a lot of it is exactly what you mentioned about fujoshi. I personally love them, but some can be really extreme to the point of being offensive.

In fact, being all about yaoi is something too superficial, but it was the concept that the administrator made to request for members, I joined them due it picked my curiosity and because the way the administrator did it was a kind of shy but with determination that moved me a little, so I decided yo try join them and I discovered that it wasn't just Yaoi stuffs there was more toppics like gamers, other generes of anime like action, shounen, fantasy, slice of life, american comics, and so on. Or just chat about personal stuffs, experiencies or advices from people who already have had similar situations. I've seen that the ones that live near gather together to go to anime/comic conventions or had parties with anime karaoke's themes and had joyful convivences thats why I keep in touch with them and make me want to meet them face to face. And since I don't feel the same confidence from my family they are like a little shelter where I can be more honest while I gather the courage to go out because I don't hope things will go that smoothly when the time arrives. And I really hope to meet nice people who accept me as I am and the keep near with those who I've already met
