Oh, and you know what? Let's throw Kumota Haruko on there as well. I'm not sure if it's the pure shock or what, but I thought My Darling Kitten Hair would be the stupidest thing, but it is imho more realistic(other than the "gay for you" aspect which I'm not a fan of) than 99% of manga, and is actually quirky and fun.

Oh God Yamashita Tomoko is my goddess! Agreed with all you recs. I'd add Momo to Manji and Only you only. Mic and Neo is cool too.

Ohh, I haven't read only you, only, but I'm going to now. I couldn't get through momo to manji. Omg. That whole thing from when he was a child was waaayy too much for me. Mic and Neo was interesting, agreed.

Oh I know, that two chapters of flashback were too tought for me too but necessary for the sake of the plot in my POV afterwards things became so sweet and tender that I melt. But ofc its goes with tastes Im not good with stories with child abuses background either so I use to skip that ones but this is a rare exception because is well written (like saezuru)
Only you only is a gem and not so known buy readers in general, maybe because is mature, idk.
