I might agree with that, even though I don't really know how trans people feel, but I still maintain that the other know can't choose what kind of body he is attracted to, and him saying so is not transphobic. I also didn't like that part, it's better not to touch that topic if you dont understand it, but it feels like many people in Japan think that crossdressing = trans.
I'm not saying that the guy was transphobic I'm saying the author made a transphobic chapter maybe it wasn't his/her intention but it's not how things works they made it sound like it was Mimi's choice to be trans and she can get over it for someone idk that chapter made me really uncomfortable I have a trans friend and I know how much it hurts to not be able to be who you really are

You also have to keep in mind that this was written almost 10 years ago (2009). A lot has changed since then, especially people's understanding of the Trans people and the Trans community as a whole. Not saying it's not a weird caricature of a Trans person, but that this was written when Japan was decidely NOT dealing with these things in society, so the author is not likely to have had a great understanding of what Trans people are or aren't like.

lmao you new to LGBTQ relationships child? My own friend was in a relation with someone who was considering gender reassignment surgery, but they took type to understand their dysphoria. They ultimately decided to NOT have a surgery. He still cross dresses and is happy the way he is. Nothing in gender or sexuality is black and white.
