i love harada, but this one felt kind of like a self-parody of harada to me. the dark twist is so absurdly handled that it gets (intentionally or unintentionally...?) silly and i was totally laughing during the friend's reveal of his SUPAR EVIL TWISTED plans. i think that was the point, to be silly, and i've always appreciated harada's ability to veer between humor and pathos, but in this one it didn't stick the landing on either feeling for me so it just felt mediocre-ly odd without having the full harada punch.
