I dont really understaand i thought he turned phil into a vampire

Maybe he tied them together? Or tried to make him a vampire and it failed?

Uhm. Phil probably had a weak condition as a kid. Drinking Ed blood helped cure it. I don't know why Ed don't want to turn Phil into a vampire but sadly Phil is eventually going to die of old age. Right now they are basically trying to live their life to the fullest together while Phil is still alive.
