Do you know Bandai Namco? It is also one of the biggest company in Japan, and they have Tales if Zestiria which has gay couple as main characters
Do you know kadokawa shouten? One of the biggest publishing company in Japan, they have BL (boys' love) section, and already published a big pile of BL manga titles

square enix is a larger platform, not only in anime but other platforms, like gaming. life is strange was never announced as a LGBT it was just assumptions made by the fans themselves, though I can see what people mean, since it does have a few hints but nothing more. and I never said you can't ship them, shipping is all up to you, I was just stating the obvious that sadly we will never get the queer ending everyone's hoping for.

Jokes asides, Sormik is as explicit as it can get. Just like how Nick handled Korra x Asami, I think Bandai/Ufotable handled Sormik really well.
sorry to burst your bubble but they aren't gay. this anime/manga are being produced by square enix, one of the most largest companies in Japan. The Japanese culture is very closed minded and they wouldn't put a homosexual couple judging by how much of an influence it has, since it's a fairly huge company. it's a disappointedment, really.
