That wasn't hate. They didn't even dislike each other. Nagashima was just a bit jealous of Sekiya and Sekiya was just pissed at Nagashima for saying he hates him. That's nothing compared to other stories, plus stories that start with people who hate each other are super interesting because then they start discovering each other's good points and start falling in love instead of stories where people are just in love for no reason
