I didn't feel bored reading this. It was fairly slice-of-life with a nice bit of smut that didn't make me roll my eyes.
I spent the entire first part wondering if he was dead and Sensei was using his memories as a sort of muse...heartbreaking, sure but it made I a surreal sort of sense.
Was there even a point to introducing that little bit of drama in the last part? You could've cut the ex-lover and the resolution still would've made perfect sense.
