    No, but I know where this series is from and that it's normal to call older males hyung (brother) in korea, so I don't see a problem with using the word brother here. Sure they could've used hyung as well, but in the end it would still be the same

    I think we all know what you've explained, but like, the vibe's a bit off when you first read it. It's just enough to be a turn-off but otherwise it's whatever. Literal translation isn't always the best translation.

    Well, I'm not sure if the characters are Korean anyways since their names and the era is more European(?) or smth. And yea using hyung is more fitting for me (even tho they're probably not korean) since it can show how close they are while "brother" is just...not so fitting for the scene ig. Like, imagine having sex and ur partner calls u brother or sister like nah

    Yeah but this is an english translation, not korean. In english you don't call your sex partner brother
