For real, I thought there would be more consequences for him using it. I mean, there's definitely some risk if you get seriously injured and can't even tell. I'd just keep it at 1.

as a person with chronic pain and hyper mobility if i had the ability to turn it off pain i would. even at the chance of breaking/dislocating joints. so it’s totally understandable for him to keep wanting to turn it off.
