Why would he??? Like it was clear she gave him up and dosent want to meet him?
bc he himself says in his inner thoughts "so she didn't give up on me?" and "how did he contact her?" clearly implying that hes at least mildly curious, but then its immediately followed by "these questions dont matter" which feels like a very obvious cop out
