It makes no sense realistically speaking and if there are people who genuinely put themselves through years of a relationship of uncertainty where neither takes the first step, then y'all have a separate problem. 5 years makes sense. But until they're past their 30s? Like, it's not like it's just a few years. At some point, someone would get over the relationship and move on. Or at least in this case, they should.
