That's also what I've gathered so far. There's a lot in the past that has yet to be fully explained. I also think J guy isn't human. Especially cuz ML said that everyone seemed to follow him, almost like a religion, almost like they were "controlled".
So from what I’ve gathered, the orphanage was doing experiments on children (and I’m willing to bet that the VCH is being directed by whoever was running the orphanage). MC came into contact with the “fallen star” as he calls it, and was chosen and I guess fused with the creature which lead to him becoming vampiric (idk what else to call it). And it seems like the creatures have been trying to get him for years, hence why bad things happened when he’d go outside, and also explains why the variants were bringing him offerings. He’s kinda like a queen in a sense, or like the mother of whatever new creatures the tentacle thing wants to form. As for Dogun, it seems like he came from the same orphanage and was also experimented on, which is why he told mc that his eyes weren’t always red. I’m not sure why it’s his blood specifically mc feels fullest off of, or why papapa with him satiates his thirst for multiple days, but I’m definitely looking forward to finding out!!
