Also in the novel, there was a scene from Ellen's pov that stated she should've felt delighted or smth when she saw Freya, but somehow she felt uncomfortable. Idc what ppl say I love my girl Ellen and her character improvement!

Maybe in the beginning she wasn’t likable due to her being friends with Freya and believing her. But to those that are worried about her not believing ruby: in the next few chapters it’s not exactly clear whether she believes ruby or not. The only thing she focuses on is keeping what they saw a secret to not anger izek. Cause she doesn’t know what izek will do once he knows. It’s clear that she DOES worry for Ruby’s safety regardless of whether she believes what happened was her will or not. She just wants ruby to stay safe and alive. She doesn’t criticize ruby or blame her for that kiss thing. She basically won’t address it unless ruby is the one to say anything.
