He always liked the king and for the king defences he kind of needed to sleep with other people for his health? Pr something like that he doesn't really have much choice not to sleep with someone to exchange mana so before MC invented the machine there was no other way then sex.
I get that. But he just seems like a really insincere and careless person to me. Maybe he'll change later and has got a sad back story or something. But him just constantly poking at the uke to figure out what he's thinking and not even noticing just how bad the uke's condition got when he had previously claimed he knew how much the uke struggled with creating the barrier just made me not like him.
