I get being protective to your friend and all, but girl, your friend have common sense and the smartest in your grade. Why the fuck would she need you to tell her who to be friend with?
As a friend you should atleast warn her and be with her throughout the process. Girl the one you are doing is borderline being possessive. My guy hasn't even done anything wrong. If the guy did anything wrong THEN you can act up and protect your friend.
