I'm not too for sure but I think he got the money as a bribe from the teacher. The spoil of wars meaning idk the outcome of war. The situation with the teacher being the war and the spoils being the money. I could totally be wrong but that's how I read it.
can someone tell me what the madonna dude meant when he said "they're spoils of war" in chapter 1? what does that mean? i think he was referring to the teacher who was tryna groom him
