Imo I think the author never intended to add romance but wanted to attract romance readers so they just threw smth in and took it out when they were finished, because why would u have them being so sweet together then add that BS plot point about her losing emotions because she's a god completely taking her choice away. I genuinely felt bad when i saw Axion begging to be killed, he didn't deserve that. It would've been more impactful if you made her war with herself over the decision to either complete her wish and kill herself after resetting everything or come back to life for Axion, instead of that no emotions because I'm King thing. Also like i understand Torzo's motivation but cordelia's mom's motivation made no sense not to mention Axion's mom she wasn't even necessary all she did was introduce them which could be done by any other evil character
