Imo I think the author never intended to add romance but wanted to attract romance readers so they just threw smth in and took it out when they were finished, because why would u have them being so sweet together then add that BS plot point about her losing emotions because she's a god completely taking her choice away. It would've been more impactful if you mad her war with herself over the decision to either complete her wish and kill herself after resetting everything or come back to life for Axion, instead of that no emotions because I'm King thing
