Calling it now, that prophecy regarding the hero is a complete sham and they only wanted a scapegoat. The ones behind this conspiracy look like demons in disguise. Poor women putting up with the "existence less useful than a worm's" debauchery (not insulting worms btw, they make the soil richer and help plants grow better).
Also the dad is a combination of Phoenix wright (hairstyle of his 30s self), Kenshiro from fist of the North Star and Gutz from Berserk. Can't think of any references regarding the mom though.
