I like those parents. They wanted to teach their son important skills even if he didn't want violence. It's to protect himself. But he utterly failed as a human being, and in turn they decided to punish him rather than do nothing. I like that. That's real parenting to know when they do something wrong. Hell that's just a loving relationship that the son doesn't deserve. Also i really love their humility. It's really refreshing after so many OP characters being oblivious to their strength or super assholes about it ( worse it's underserved power given to them not earned)
