I don't have a problem with his love interest as a person, it's not a problem of power imbalance or an age gap either but the way he viewed her before was as a brat and he was acting as a guardian figure (teacher) so it's a bit weird for me. I'm still at chapter 53 and she's so far not annoying and no "obvious" romance but just inklings of one and I'll still continue even if they did end up together cause I like his relatable character, a bit iffy on the clone abuse but I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I wouldn't use them in the exact way he did if not even slightly worse. Btw. I know he's still not showing interest in her but they making her a main cast with a crush on mc kinda gives off a romance in the future feel, so any new readers don't worry about romance... at least until chapter 53.
