I understand it’s originally his fault, but I just don’t get true visceral hatred from this chapter specifically when it’s the ml that decided to go off on his own. Yes the blondie was the reason why they ended up in this situation which is why he’s following the mc’s orders to guard the ml to make up for his fuck ups. But the ml decided to sneak away, it’s not like the blondie wasn’t doing his job this time. And the blondie blames himself too so idk why people are acting like he doesn’t feel bad.
Also I’m pretty sure the boss already knows the blondie fucked up that’s why when the blondie tried to talk to him, the boss told him to shut up basically.
It’s pretty much the hypocrisy that’s highlighted in this chapter that has everyone angered. He’s learned nothing from his fuckup and has the nerve to talk to MC and ML respectively a top the high horse he thinks he’s “earned” to look down on anyone’s decision when it’s his very decision to not follow orders that created the entire mess they’re in. He’s also just has a completely unlikeble personality / punchable face.
What made him hypocritical this chapter? If it’s about the laughing, he’s laughing at himself. That’s why he uses the words “you just can’t do anything right” in reference to himself. It’s self-deprecative humor, not an insult towards the mc or ml at all.
Personally I don’t think his face is punchable and I find him pretty funny, but that’s subjective so your valid for that.
