True yeah nowadays i just read the ones where the the mc and old FL are besties or at the least they don't make the MC some air headed nonsensical kind that makes all the people around her start adoring her for some reason like they out here making the MC a true villainess out here

Like you know that the male lead is destined to be with the heroine yet you do shit that could seduce the man? Unless you're dumb as fuck, or have no street smarts, every act you do to flirt with the ml is disgusting. Well the author's just tend to sprinkle 1. The mc is dense af( they be attracting flies their age, but have you ever seen them act like that with ugly mob characters? Well hello they act bitch only to, handsome men, whether mob) 2.They make the original heroine of the novel cruel like the another person gets reincarnated on that body??? Hello what if the heroine was genuinely kind. And also we also have this mc's who are like "I want to live too, sucks to be you" or like " first comes, first serve". At this point this is a little sad to be honest, most of what I read is like the ml's are just like characters who only live to become someone's golden leg to hold to.
